PHILOSOPHY

Taekwondo is a Korean form of martial art practiced by more people, in more countries, than any other martial art. Through the concepts of justice, humanity, morality, wisdom, and faith, the objective of practicing Taekwondo is to create a more peaceful world. Designed for practice by students of all ages, Taekwondo builds strong bodies through physical exercise, strong minds through discipline and focus, and provides a basis of self-defense through traditional martial art techniques.

At Northeast Taekwondo, we take an inclusive approach to education, believing that all students can learn, no matter what limitations present themselves. We adhere to and teach the five tenets of Taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit. And we foster camaraderie, support, and good sportspersonship among our students.
